- The project was approved in 1997 at an estimated cost of over Rs.350 crore with no fixed date of commisioning.

2013 - Work begins on Ahmednagar-Beed-Parli Vaijnath railway

- The 261 km-long proposed Parli-Beed-Ahmednagar railway line

- Work on the Rs 2,800-crore Ahmednagar-Beed-Parli Vaijnath railway line in Maharashtra has commenced.

2015 - The state cabinet on Tuesday gave sanction for Rs 1,413 crore for Ahmednagar - Beed - Parli Vaijnath railway line. 

- The total cost of the project is Rs 2,826 crore


- Rail line from Ahmednagar to Parli is a tribute to Munde: CM Fadnavis

 - State and the Centre want the Ahmednagar-Beed line to be completed by March 2019
